Pinot Noir 2006:
This is the sixth vintage of Northburn Pinot Noir and was made by Michelle Richardson. 2006 was a close to perfect vintage across Central Otago producing balanced and ripe fruit.
This wine has great depth of colour with bright, fresh fruits on the nose. It is a very generous wine that is full of rich, ripe and spicy fruit flavours. There are layers of black cherries, plum, chocolate and coffee with hints of wild thyme. The tannins are fine and silky smooth but firm enough to ensure rewarding cellaring for at least 5 years.

Pinot Noir 2007:
This handpicked seventh vintage of Northburn Pinot Noir was made by Michelle Richardson. Crop yields across Central Otago in 2007 were lower than average – however, the Northburn fruit was fully ripe with increased concentration and complexity as a result of the reduced yields and small berries.
This resulting wine is "muscular" with great depth of colour and layers of black cherries, plum, dark chocolate & coffee & hints of wild thyme.

Pinot Gris 2009:
This is the fourth Pinot Gris under the Northburn label. The 2009 vintage was excellent for Pinot Gris with well balanced fully ripe fruit and good varietal definition. This wine is made in an off-dry style – with approximately 6 gm/l residual sugar. Now with over six months in the bottle, this wine is showing the oily richness and fullness of flavour that epitomises great Pinot Gris.

Riesling 2007:
This, our first Riesling under the Northburn label, is made in a medium style (16gm sugar) for easy every-day drinking. It is crisp and fresh with mineral notes and flavours of granny smith apple and stone fruit. Now with 2 years in the bottle it has developed a delightful honeyed richness. While very easy to drink by itself this is a very food friendly wine that will match a wide range of dishes.

Riesling 2008:
This, our second Riesling under the Northburn label, is made in a medium-dry style (12gm sugar). It is crisp and fresh with lemon and lime flavours. This wine is a perfect match with most seafoods (but especially our favourite prawn risotto). It will continue to develop with further time in the bottle and become more honeyed with age.

Riesling "Jeweller's Shop" 2008:
This, our second Jeweller's Shop Riesling under the Northburn label, is made in a medium-sweet (60gm sugar) style for special occasions. The grapes for this wine were fully ripe with approximately 15% of the berries affected with Botrytis. The "Jeweller's Shop" refers to the immediately adjacent gold mining area so named for its exceptionally rich yields in the 1860's. This wine should provide similarly rich rewards.

Rosé 2009:
This, our third Rosé under the Northburn label, is made in an off-dry style for easy drinking as an aperitif but will also complement a wide range of foods.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir this Rosé has a vibrant and alluring colour. The nose is inviting with fresh red berry fruits. The palate is crisp and clean with good acid and alcohol balance. The flavours are of strawberries, raspberries and red currents with hints of almond and vanilla bean. The finish is dry and lingering.
The tannins are firm but fine that attest to its pedigree origins. The wine is just off-dry with a residual sugar of approximately 6 g/litre.
We recommend you serve this wine well chilled and have found that it complements many food styles.
